| Does the KFL used a banned bat list? |
Yes, we use the ASA non-approved bat list which can be found here Set the drop down menu to "bats" and click "go". There you will see two logos. A bat must have one of those two logos on it to be considered legal. Below that are pdfs of the bats that have the above logos, but are banned from use. There are 24 bats on that list. Each team should have a colour copy of the banned bat list available at every game. In the KFL, it is up to Team A to have a bat checked against the list (Team A must provide the list to the umpire). If the bat is declared illegal before the next batter has a pitch thrown to him then, the bat is removed, the player is ejected (and fined accordingly), any resulting play is nullified. A $25 dollar fine is applied. Umpires will not be performing bat checks prior to the start of games. |
